Welcome to Bequita’s Blooms & Botanicals, a labor of love rooted in the rich soil of the Rio Grande Valley founded by Rebecca. As an RGV native, dedicated gardener, Rebecca’s deep passion for floral design and appreciation for the earth guided her into the world of floriculture, ultimately bringing Bequita’s Blooms to life.

Bequita’s Blooms is not your average florist. It’s a non-traditional, garden-to-shop experience that began when Rebecca planted her first seeds in November 2020. By spring 2021, her blooms were ready, and she started selling her unique floral creations. The shop operates as a sustainable flower farm and garden, where Rebecca cultivates her own flowers using her homemade compost. This commitment to sustainability is central to their process: seeds are planted, flowers are nurtured and pollinated, then harvested, and finally the discarded stems return to the compost, enriching the soil for the next abundant harvest.

Located in “La Placita” in downtown Harlingen, the shop is a carefully curated haven. Rebecca handpicks every single item, ensuring a whimsical selection of flowers, plants, seeds, books, home goods and self-care products that are locally sourced and nature themed. Bequita’s Blooms aims to be a “happy place” for everyone in the community. A space where people feel inspired, can learn and grow, or simply find the perfect thoughtful gift.
